A decade ago, we set out with a clear purpose: to support planning authorities in shaping strong, effective planning policy and delivering sound, plan-led outcomes for communities. What started as a team of one has grown into DAC Planning being a trusted partner working with authorities nationwide.
Over the past 10 years, our team has grown, our expertise has deepened, and the challenges facing the planning system have continued to evolve. Through it all, we’ve stayed grounded in what matters most - delivering high-quality, practical advice, working collaboratively, and supporting our clients with integrity and professionalism.
We’re proud to have built a team that truly understands planning in practice, combining local government experience with consultancy expertise, and to have contributed to a wide range of plans, strategies and projects that help shape sustainable, coordinated growth.
It's been fantastic to see our work recognised along the way, including being named as 𝗥𝗧𝗣𝗜 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 in 2023 and the winning the 𝗥𝗧𝗣𝗜 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 in 2025. Just as important though, is the trust we’ve built with our clients and partners, and the strong working relationships that underpin everything we do.
A huge thank you to our team, past and present, for your hard work, commitment and teamwork. And to our clients and collaborators, thank you for continuing to place your trust in us.
While we’ve grown, we’ve stayed true to our values - striving for excellence, supporting one another, and adapting to meet the changing needs of the planning system.
We’re looking forward to what comes next, including continuing to support the sector, build capacity (not least through The Planning Academy), and help deliver the best possible outcomes for communities.
Here’s to the next chapter.
(And yes… a few celebrations, and perhaps a bit of trumpet blowing, will follow over the coming month or so!🎺)
