Local Plan Support
DAC Planning has provided support and critical friend advice to Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council in the production of the Greater Cambridge Local Plan (GCLP).
Scope
Policy Assessment
We assessed adopted Local Plan policies against the latest national policy to inform the scope and content of policies to be included in the GCLP.

Issues and Options Consultation
We provided critical friend advice in relation to the production of the Issues and Options document and subsequent public consultation.
Duty to Cooperate
We advised the Councils on the approach to meeting the Duty to Cooperate, produced an advice note and supported planning officers.

Proposed Plan Policies
We supported the Councils in policy drafting and project management.
Topic Advice
We provided advice notes to inform and support the Council in best practice and suggested approach to responding to particular national policy requirements.
Consultation Responses
We supported the processing and analysis of the Regulation 18 Local Plan consultation responses.
Outcomes
DAC Planning supported Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council in developing evidence and draft policies for the Greater Cambridge Local Plan. The Council held a second round of Regulation 18 consultation from November-December 2021.
